FAQs

For many reasons, our preferred platform is Squarespace! Clients agree that it’s a user-friendly, all-in-one platform with a drag-and-drop editor and straightforward pricing. Lion Claw website builds will almost always utilize Squarespace, unless it is a commerce-based website, in which case we generally recommend Shopify. In limited cases, we will build on Wix. Despite experience in Wordpress and Showit, we do not use or recommend these platforms as client updates and maintenance can be complex and even costly.
We use Squarespace's built-in style editor, so all features Squarespace offers will be available to you! You can change colors, fonts, images, pages, sections, add video, slideshows, blogs, shapes, third-party widgets, and so much more. Squarespace utilizes a drag-and-drop editor called Fluid Engine, which means no coding, programs, subscriptions, or prior experience is required. Once our project is complete, we will schedule an offboarding training call where we walk you through making edits on your site. Our goal is to make our clients feel confident swapping images, updating pricing, etc. as their business grows!
We normally have a 2-4 week wait; however, our design process includes a short questionnaire that's due on the project start date. Once we have that in hand, we can get you started with the copywriters. So, the earlier you book in, the better!
Yes, we are flexible with payment plans! Our standard policy is a 50% deposit upfront, and the other 50% upon project completion. However, if you need a different arrangement, we are often happy to accommodate.
We perform basic SEO optimization on your website, including keyword research during the copywriting phase, h1 tags, page titles, meta descriptions, image filenames, and alt text. If you’re interested in an additional SEO boost or ongoing SEO support/optimization for your Google rankings, we have a list of experts we’d be happy to connect you to.
Not at this time, but there are a few content agencies we’d love to introduce you to!
In very limited cases, we will run a Facebook/Instagram ad campaign. However, we generally recommend finding an expert in this area to design, test, and maintain your campaign. We do not offer services related to Google Ads, though we do recommend creating a free Google My Business profile for organic leads if you don’t already have one.
